VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - The outside westbound lane of the Interstate 20 bridge will soon be closed while workers with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development do maintenance work on the bridge.
Vicksburg Police Chief Bobby Stewart tells the Vicksburg Post (https://bit.ly/1SbDke4) that the work is expected to close the lane Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
LDOTD crews will work on the bridge decking and guardrails while the lane is closed.
Vicksburg police will help with traffic on the bridge while the work is underway. Louisiana will reimburse the city for using the officers under an agreement with the city.
