RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A reward fund is offering $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who stole 25 hand guns from a Rapid City outdoors store.

Police say The Rooster on West Main Street was broken into during the morning hours of April 10, and 25 hand guns were missing from the business. Police Capt. James Johns says it’s a particularly concerning burglary considering that 25 handguns are now in the hands of criminals.

Anyone with information about this burglary, the suspect or the guns’ whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Dan Trainer at (605) 394-4134.

The Community Reward Fund is a public charity incorporated in 1994 that provides funds to be offered to facilitate the resolution of serious crimes.
