IRVINE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a car slammed into an Orange County ice cream shop all the way to its front counter, sending the driver and two teenagers who were inside the store to the hospital.

County fire Capt. Larry Kurtz told the Orange County Register (https://bit.ly/1SbLeB9 ) the Hyundai Sonata driven by a woman in her 20s plowed some 25 feet into Afters Ice Cream Shop in Irvine shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The store was open at the time.

The two female teenage victims were taken to Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

The driver was taken to Orange Global Medical Center in Santa Ana.

There was no immediate information on the seriousness of their injuries.
