BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck police are investigating what they say is a suspicious death.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at the Runnings store shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.

Police found a body outside, along a side of the building. Authorities were working to determine the identity.

Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena says it doesn’t appear that the woman died of natural causes. Authorities would not release other details.

Officers were at the scene for more than three hours and examined several items, including a backpack and wallet.
