LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) - Riverside County authorities arrested a homeless man who led deputies on a chase around Lake Elsinore in a stolen car.

The Press-Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/23HTWMx ) the pursuit began Wednesday night when the car sped off as deputies tried to pull it over.

The deputies learned that the vehicle was stolen and chased it down a dirt road, where the suspect exited and ran off.

The suspect, 48-year-old Richard Holsinger, was chased down and arrested on suspicion of evading a police officer and receiving stolen property.

Bail was set at $100,000. It wasn’t immediately known if Holsinger has a lawyer.
