WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - A man arrested after his wife was found dead in their Grafton home has been ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.

Michael Sugarman pleaded not guilty to assault and battery Thursday while dressed in two hospital gowns during an arraignment in Westborough District Court. Prosecutors say they expect to file a murder charge later.

Authorities say 36-year-old Kelly Sugarman was found dead on a bedroom floor Wednesday and Michael Sugarman was found with a knife in his neck.

Police were alerted to the home by the couple’s 5-year-old daughter, who was walking along Route 140 in pajamas. She is now in state custody.

Officials haven’t said how Kelly Sugarman died. Autopsy results are pending.

Authorities say they found evidence the couple had been arguing over financial problems.
