NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A northern New Jersey man has admitted to driving at more than three times the speed limit when he crashed into another car, killing its 16-year-old passenger.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/261Z8wP ) 27-year-old Nicholas Comasco pleaded guilty on Wednesday to vehicular homicide and speeding in the September 2012 crash that killed Christina Lembo.

Prosecutors say the Bloomfield man was driving 80 mph in a 25 mph zone when he hit a Honda Civic turning in front of him. Lembo was in the Civic’s backseat and died at a hospital after the crash.

Defense attorney S. Emile Lisboa IV says his client takes full responsibility for the crash and was driving too fast.

Comasco expected to be receive a three-year prison term when he’s sentenced on June 6.
