MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - Three families whose children were on a “hit list” found at a Maricopa school want charges to be filed against the 10-year-old student who wrote the note.

Maricopa police say the boy listed the names of eight students on it.

The note was found March 31 at Legacy Traditional School.

Police say the boy told them he was teased by the eight students listed on the note, but he wasn’t going to harm them.

The parents of the unidentified boy told police he had no access to firearms at home.

Police say he now faces possible charges of interference with or disrupting of an educational institution, threatening or intimidating and disorderly conduct.

They say the case has been forwarded to juvenile courts who will determine if charges will be filed.
