PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - The parents of a 24-year-old Dover man who was fatally beaten at a Portsmouth bar in 2013 have filed a lawsuit seeking damages for their son’s death.

The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1oZtoGN ) Cheryl and David Krantz filed the three-count lawsuit against John Dussie and Theodore Mountzuris, former owners of The Page, in Rockingham Superior Court.

The suit claims that Dussi and Mountzuris ignored numerous state and federal regulations in addition to failing to supervise a dance floor at the now-closed bar.

Prosecutors say Zachary O’Neill punched Joshua Krantz at least twice on the dance floor on April 5, 2013. He was sentenced to 10 ½ to 22 years in prison in January 2014.

The Page went out of business in June 2013.

The defendants couldn’t be reached for comment.
