PHOENIX (AP) - The Scottsdale Airport plans to tear down its terminal area and business center to replace it with two large hangers and an office complex.
Officials say the project is estimated to cost $25 million and will be financed through city-issued bonds. Construction is set to begin next February.
Aviation director Gary P. Mascaro says he learned through a market analysis that the airport needed more executive-hanger space.
Spokeswoman for the airport Sarah Ferrara said the project will include a modern office complex that includes space for “the Brick” restaurant and two-executive hangars.
The Scottsdale City Council approved the changes last week.
