LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A vendor that was contracted to provide online purchasing software has filed a federal lawsuit against the Nebraska Educational Service Unit Coordinating Council.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/1T6kS3z ) that ESM Solutions, of Warrington, Pennsylvania, says the council didn’t properly notify ESM about ending the contract. The council coordinates the activities of the state’s 17 educational service units.
In 2012 the council contracted with ESM for software to make it easier for districts to make purchases online. David Ludwig is executive director of the council, and he says ESM did not provide the products or services as expected, so the council ended its relationship.
Ludwig says the council intends to vigorously contest ESM’s lawsuit.
