WASHINGTON (AP) - This weekend marks the end of five consecutive weekends of regular Metro rail service largely free of track work.

Metro took a break from regular weekend track work for the cherry blossom season, where weekend ridership can nearly double.

The work-free weekends began March 19 and end Sunday.
