THETFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities are working to determine the cause of multiple explosions and a fire at a house in northern Genesee County where three people died.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/20I5FZD ) investigators plan to sift through the rubble on Friday at the home in Thetford Township, about 65 miles northwest of Detroit.

Firefighters arrived Thursday afternoon to find the house engulfed in flames. In addition to the people, two dogs also died in the home.

Police haven’t identified the victims.

Thetford Township police Chief Robert Kenny says there were several explosions. The Michigan State Police fire marshal is investigating the cause.
