NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a 36-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a Bronx man last week.

Police say James Johnson was arrested Thursday in the slaying of 24-year-old Roberto Jimenez. The Bronx suspect is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators say they found Jimenez on April 8, with a gunshot wound to the head in front of his apartment building. He was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he died four days later.

It’s unclear if Johnson has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
