CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will no longer attend the Wyoming Republican State Convention this weekend.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1Xzmxju ) that she had been scheduled to speak on behalf of presidential candidate Donald Trump. According to the Wyoming Republican Party, it is unclear if the Trump campaign will send another surrogate to the Casper convention.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is scheduled to attend and Idaho Gov. Butch Otter will speak on behalf of Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

More than 500 Wyoming delegates and alternates are expected to attend the convention. They will elect 14 of the 29 national delegates who will represent Wyoming at the Republican National Convention in July.

Republicans selected 12 delegates at county conventions last month, with Cruz picking up nine, Trump one and Marco Rubio one. One delegate was uncommitted.
