YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - A new study indicates Yankton can support more retail stores, an extended-stay hotel and more chain restaurants.

The Daily Press & Dakotan reports (https://bit.ly/1qLDjkM ) that the study by the Hoffman Strategy Group concluded that the city can support an additional 78,000 square feet of retail space.

City Manager Amy Nelson says the study will be helpful in pursuing potential new businesses because it provides more detailed information on Yankton that companies seek.
