HUMPHREY, Neb. (AP) - A Tarnov man has died in a two-vehicle collision near Humphrey.

KNEN-FM reports that a sedan traveling westbound on Highway 91 and an SUV traveling northbound on Highway 81 collided around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the sedan, 89-year-old Gervin Kudron, died of injuries resulting from the accident. Kudron’s wife, Joyce, was taken to a local hospital, but the extent of her injuries is unknown.

The driver of the SUV was treated at a local hospital and released.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

The incident is the area’s third fatality accident this week. There were two other accidents in Colfax County on Tuesday and Wednesday.
