CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) - A $2.1 million project to renovate Clear Lake High School is expected to begin this summer.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1VjAPoY ) that the school board this week awarded the project to Dean Snyder Construction. Snyder’s $2.1 million bid was the lowest of three construction companies who submitted offers.
The project includes adding a covered entry to the school, replacing exterior stairs and enclosing a courtyard.
It also includes more space for the school’s kitchen, serving and dining areas.
The project will be funded by sales tax revenue, which is mainly designated for school infrastructure needs.
