SPRINGVILLE, Utah (AP) - Police are searching for a Springville man who has been charged with running down a police officer.

KSL-TV of Salt Lake City reports (https://bit.ly/23004mi) that 19-year-old Corbin Chandler Decker is facing a count of attempted aggravated murder.

He also faces other charges including failure to respond to an officer’s signal to stop, resulting in injury or death.

Police say Decker and 20-year-old Christopher Damron used methamphetamine inside a suspected stolen vehicle March 26 as officers approached.

That’s when the car sped toward an officer.

That officer suffered minor injuries.

But the suspects then allegedly struck a second officer, who was hospitalized for a broken nose and facial lacerations.

Police recovered the car.
