BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck man is expected to change his plea to charges stemming from a head-on crash in June on the Bismarck Expressway in Mandan that killed two people.

The Bismarck Tribune (https://bit.ly/22YKFmp ) reports that a change of plea hearing is scheduled for Monday in the case against Jordan Morsette. He pleaded not guilty in August to two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular injury.

Authorities say Morsette was intoxicated while driving a pickup truck the wrong way on the highway. The pickup collided with a car, killing two of the car’s occupants and severely injuring the driver.

Morton County assistant state’s attorney Gabrielle Goter says Morsette is not entering a plea agreement. She says he faces a 10-year minimum sentence on each homicide count.

Morsette’s attorney didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Saturday.
