LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A 41-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison for raping a woman.
The Lincoln Journal star reports (https://bit.ly/1PNF4CC ) that Mohamed Bendu pleaded no contest to attempted sexual assault in the first-degree. He was sentenced Thursday.
Police arrested him Sept. 11 after they were called for a report of a woman screaming for a man to get off her and that “no means no.”
Officers arrived to find the woman running down the stairs screaming and Bendu following her. Police say Bendu admitted he had forced her to have sex and covered her mouth as she screamed.
