PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say an elderly man was struck and killed by a shuttle bus in suburban Philadelphia.
Officials with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said the accident happened shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday in Glenside, Montgomery County.
Authorities said 93-year-old Edward Hill Sr. was trying to cross the street at the crosswalk as the SEPTA shuttle bus was turning left, and the left side of the bus hit him.
Officials said Hill became pinned under the bus and was pronounced dead at the scene. SEPTA said no passengers were aboard the bus.
Authorities said the bus driver stopped and was cooperating with the investigation.
