WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota man will remain in custody for three more years after being sentenced for two counts of child pornography.

The Williston Herald (https://bit.ly/1RvITBV ) reports 44-year-old Anthony Shields was sentenced to five years in prison and received credit for the slightly less than two years that he has spent in jail since his arrest.

Shields pleaded guilty to the two counts of child pornography in December in a plea deal that got him 18 other counts dismissed.

The charges were filed in 2010 after law enforcement searched Shields’s camper and vehicle in Keene. Authorities found graphic photographs of children in his seized computer.

Northwest District Judge Robin Schmidt ordered Shields to register as a sex offender. She said she is concerned about Shields’s apparent lack of remorse and believes he doesn’t understand the gravity of his actions.
