FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) - A man who planned to distribute more than 160 grams of methamphetamine has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison.
Federal prosecutors say Theodore Santaguida received an 87-month sentence on Friday. The 42-year-old Ocean Township man also will have to serve three years of supervised release once he’s freed from prison.
Santaguida had pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute it.
He was arrested in December 2014 after local and federal authorities executed a search warrant at his apartment and seized 162 grams of the drug. That came shortly after authorities say Santaguida he twice sold methamphetamine to an informant who was wearing a hidden audio and video recording device.
