SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say four teenagers led officers on a high-speed car chase in Syracuse before they were arrested with a loaded gun in the car.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (https://bit.ly/1RTieRA ) that the chase started just after 6 p.m. Friday when police tried to stop a driver who had committed several traffic violations.

The chase went past Syracuse University and lasted several miles.

Police say the car eventually stopped and four teenagers fled but were later arrested.

Police arrested 18-year-old Ernest Singleton-Shaw, 17-year-old Winston Brown and two 15-year-olds whose names were not released.

Police say one of the 15-year-olds had crack cocaine and a loaded revolver. They say a second loaded gun was found in the car.

It wasn’t clear if the suspects had attorneys who could speak for them.
