UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) - Police arrested five students after a gun and marijuana were found at a parochial school in Upper Darby.

Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School was placed under lockdown after a student reported seeing a boy pull a gun on two girls while selling marijuana at a trolley stop Wednesday.

Police and drug-sniffing dogs searched two lockers, where they found marijuana. A handgun was found in a girl’s locker and bullets were found in a backpack.

The five students will be charged as juveniles.

Superintendent Michael Chitwood says the student who reported it is a hero because drugs and a gun could have led to a tragedy.
