PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - A northern New Jersey man has pleaded guilty in the DWI crash that killed a 23-year-old man who was struck while trying to cross a road in 2014.
The Daily Record reports (https://dailyre.co/1pjnzUJ ) Edward Koloski entered the plea earlier this week to charges of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and DWI in the crash that killed Javan Robinson in Rockaway Township.
Prosecutors say Robinson was going to a grocery store close to midnight on Feb. 23, 2014, when he was hit by Koloski’s Dodge Charger while trying to cross Route 46. Authorities say Koloski’s blood alcohol level was 0.16 after the crash. That’s twice the legal limit to drive.
Koloski will be sentenced on June 23.
