NATICK, Mass. (AP) - Firefighters have rescued a woman and her dog who got stuck in a muddy marsh.

Officials say a person walking in the Hunnewell Town Forest in Natick Thursday afternoon spotted the woman and called 911.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, the woman was waist-deep in water, about 50 feet out into the marsh.

Officials say a firefighter wearing a survival suit got into the water and helped the woman and her dog to dry land. They were not hurt.

Officials are warning residents to always be cautious around marshy areas.
