MADRID (AP) - Youssef El Arabi’s hat trick helped Granada rout Levante 5-1 and leave the relegation zone in the Spanish league on Thursday.

The result lifted Granada a point above Sporting Gijon, which was among the relegation spots.

Levante dropped to last place, after Getafe won at Real Sociedad 2-1 to move to second-to-last.

Striker Isaac Success opened the scoring for host Granada, and Arabi scored his first goal by converting a penalty kick. Ruben Rochina added the third just before halftime.

Levante pulled one closer through Ruben Garcia in the 82nd to make it interesting, but Arabi scored with another penalty, and closed the scoring in injury time.
