Man shot in head while driving in Abbeville

ABBEVILLE, La. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a man was shot in the head while driving in Abbeville.

Abbeville police spokesman Lt. David Hardy tells local media outlets the victim was driving early Wednesday when an unknown suspect shot into the vehicle.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital, where Hardy says he is listed in severe but stable condition.

Investigators do not know if the suspect or suspects were on foot or in another vehicle.
