MISSOURI CITY, Mo. (AP) - A 56-year-old man has drowned while attempting to swim to a rock dike in the Missouri River.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the man as Shannon Kincade, of North Kansas City. The patrol said he went under briefly Wednesday night before witnesses pulled him from the water and attempted to resuscitate him. He was taken to a hospital.
