OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Barn enthusiasts plan to tour historic sites and have an educational conference this weekend in southwest Ohio.
Friends of Ohio Barns has a Friday bus tour through Butler County to explore early 19th century barns and other historic buildings and Indian mounds.
Presentations at a Saturday conference will cover agriculture’s influence on barn design and layout, preservation of historical architecture, and Ohio Canal history. There will be exhibits, vendors and a silent auction.
The organization promotes awareness of the significance of Ohio’s historic barns.
