FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Pinal County say are going to stop issuing burn permits later this month in response to a growing wildfire risk.

Pinal County Air Quality began issuing only three-day permits on April 1 and will stop issuing them altogether on April 28.

Burn permits allow residents to dispose of plants and grass.

Pinal County says that rising temperatures will dry seasonal vegetation, which will increase a wildfire risk.

Those looking for burn permits will have to wait until the summer monsoon season arrives.
