DETROIT (AP) - Police say the body of a man has been found in the Detroit River.

Detroit police say the body was spotted Wednesday evening in the water near the Chene Park amphitheater and recovered near downtown’s Renaissance Center.

Authorities say it wasn’t immediately clear how long the body was in the water. The man’s identity wasn’t immediately available.

An autopsy is planned to determine cause of death.
