TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) - Police say there’s no cause for alarm after an excavating crew unearthed bones while digging for a construction project at a home in downtown Traverse City.
Traverse City police Sgt. Matt Richmond says the bones discovered on Tuesday during work on an addition to a home weren’t human. The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1ND9jfV ) it was determined that they were from a turkey.
Richmond says a person who unearthed the bones sent a photo to a friend and turned them over to police.
