PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A Portland-area musician faces up to 20 years in prison after admitting to sexually abusing two young girls.
The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1ScuRp9 ) that 33-year-old Shaun Toman, of Cornelius, pleaded guilty to charges of sexual abuse and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct on Wednesday.
Toman had been a guitar teacher and played in area band called The Twangshifters when he was arrested in November.
Hillsboro police accused him of abusing students who had taken lessons from him. But Barton said in court Wednesday he didn’t know whether the two victims had been students of his.
One of the victims claims she was abused in 2010 when she was 11, and the other says Toman sexually assaulted her from 2002 to 2007, starting when she was 13.
