HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a toddler has been taken to a hospital after falling out of a third-story window at a home in Happy Valley.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that emergency personnel responded Wednesday evening to a report of a 2-year-old who had tumbled out of a window.

Officials determined the child fell out of a third-story window onto a second-story deck. The toddler was taken by ambulance to Oregon Health and Science University for treatment. Officials say the child was in stable condition Wednesday night.

The sheriff’s office says a 5-year-old fell out of that window and sustained “very minor injuries” before the toddler fell.

Authorities say both falls were accidental.

The names of the children have not been released.
