DAVIS, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say two maintenance workers were killed and a third injured in an accident at a wastewater treatment plant operated by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.

Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma spokesman Brian Hobbs called Friday’s deaths tragic and said the priority is to care for the affected families and convention staff.

The deaths were initially blamed on methane gas, but details about the accident and the injured worker’s condition were not immediately released.

The center is in the Arbuckle Mountains in southern Oklahoma and is home to a popular Baptist youth camp.
