BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - Special performances of “Catherland” will be held Sunday and Monday at the Homestead National Monument of America in southeast Nebraska.
The musical tell the story of a young writer who, after tragedy strikes her life, flees to the former home of novelist Willa Cather in Red Cloud and looks for answers. The musical was created by Nebraska playwright Becky Boesen and composer David von Kampen.
The first program is set to run from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and the second from 10 a.m. to noon Monday. Both will be presented at the Homestead Education Center.
The monument sits four miles west of Beatrice, along Nebraska Highway 4.
