2. SOLAR FLIGHT

A solar-powered airplane is more than 20 hours into a three-day flight from Hawaii to California, its latest leg on a trip around the world.

3. VOLKSWAGEN EMISSIONS

Tentative deal: Owners of nearly half a million polluting Volkswagens in the U.S. will have the option of selling them back to the company or getting them repaired at VW’s expense.
