BELLEVUE, Pa. (AP) - About 300 mourners attended the funeral of a family of five killed in a fire at their western Pennsylvania home last week.

The April 15 blaze in Bellevue, just northwest of Pittsburgh, killed 41-year-old Stephen Lasch, 38-year-old Angela Lasch, and their three children: 11-year-old Noah, 6-year-old Kayley and 4-year-old Hannah.

The service Friday morning at Risen Lord Roman Catholic Church was led by the stepfather of Angela Lasch, the Rev. Farrel Abraham of Manna From On High Church, in East McKeesport.

He told mourners to take comfort in knowing the family was with God and each other.

More than 1,000 people have responded to an online fundraising effort to cover the funeral expenses. By Friday, over $48,800 been raised.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
