ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta are investigating a shooting that left one person dead.
Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that officers were called to a townhome Thursday morning in response to a report of a possible gunshot.
Gordon tells WSB-TV that a person was found dead inside the townhome, and a homicide investigation has begun. Few other details were available early Friday.
Alpharetta is about 25 miles north of downtown Atlanta.
