STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) - Stevens Point police say a suspect in a fatal shooting has been arrested in Colorado.
Authorities say the man was taken into custody in Granby Thursday evening by federal marshals and local officers. He’s suspected of shooting Deonta Lezine in Stevens Point March 17. Lezine was found with a gunshot wound at a University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s gym. Authorities say he was shot off campus. He died about a week later.
Police say the suspect is being held in Colorado on a probation warrant pending extradition to Wisconsin.
