MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont House will resume debate next week on the release of documents possibly related to an immigrant investor scandal.
The House began debate on competing resolutions by Burlington Progressive Rep. Chris Pearson and Ripton Democratic Rep. Willem Jewett on Friday afternoon. Pearson’s asks for release of emails possibly related to the EB-5 situation, an assertion denied by the governor’s office. Jewett’s substitute resolution takes a less aggressive stance.
The House adjourned for the Passover holiday.
