BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A 21-year-old woman has been found guilty of felony murder in the 2013 slaying of a Birmingham man who authorities said was a drug dealer.
Al.com (https://bit.ly/1T2wx0S ) reports Amber Nicole Harris had been accused of setting up a meeting at a Birmingham apartment complex in December 2013 with 22-year-old Quintin Long so that two men, Andre Dunlap and Eugene Hale, could kill and rob him.
Deputy Jefferson County District Attorney Carl S. Randall said Harris wasn’t the shooter, but she was responsible for luring Long to his death. She had faced capital murder charges, but a jury on Thursday found her guilty of the lesser charge of felony murder, which carries a sentence of 20 years to life.
Dunlap and Hale are still awaiting their trials on capital murder charges.
