LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A Lincoln man accused of having sex with a 12-year-old girl has been sentenced to eight to 10 years in prison.
The Lincoln Journal Star (https://bit.ly/1ShmrwD ) reports that 22-year-old Dakota Campbell was sentenced Thursday. He had pleaded no contest to third-degree sexual assault of a child and felony child abuse. Campbell has been ordered to register as a sex offender once his prison sentence is complete.
Police say the sexual abuse was reported after the girl told a family friend, who told the girl’s father.
