PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting his wife in a Portage hotel parking lot has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
The Portage Daily Register (https://bit.ly/1VItFwM ) reports 51-year-old Kevin Krueger of Friesland (FREES’-land) was in court Thursday for his arraignment hearing. He’s accused of fatally shooting his wife in February. Charges against him include first-degree intentional homicide.
Judge Todd Hepler accepted the plea. Hepler ordered that Krueger undergo a psychological evaluation.
