LURAY, Va. (AP) - The ATF says it is concluding the fire scene investigation of a blaze that killed four people, including two young children, and destroyed a house in Page County.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said in a news release that investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of the April 18 fire.

Page County Sheriff Chad Cubbage says the fire killed 33-year-old William C. Holloway and 29-year-old Sandra G. Holloway. Officials are awaiting confirmation that the other victims were the Holloways’ daughters, 5-year-old Ava and 3-year-old Elizabeth.

The ATF says the fire broke out shortly before 9 a.m. A 9-year-old whom Cubbage identified as the couple’s son Andrew, escaped the fire and rode his bike a ¼ mile to his grandparents’ home to call for help.
