LOCUST GROVE, Ga. (AP) - Police say a central Georgia man likely killed his wife and 6-year-old son before taking his own life.
Henry County Police Capt. Joey Smith told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Tuesday (https://bit.ly/1NPF2um ) that a preliminary investigation shows 37-year-old James Bryant is likely responsible for the fatal shootings in Locust Grove.
Smith says 39-year-old Melissa Bryant and 6-year-old Conner Patrick were found dead Monday. Authorities have said the shootings likely stemmed from a domestic dispute sometime Sunday night and the incident is under investigation.
Smith has said authorities did a welfare check on the couple when James and Melissa Bryant’s co-workers called and said the two didn’t show up for work.
