LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities are identifying a 49-year-old scooter rider killed in a weekend crash in North Las Vegas that led to the arrest of a motorist on suspicion of felony driving under the influence, hit-and-run and other charges.

The Clark County coroner says Dudley Harvey Batchelor Jr. died of multiple injuries in the Sunday night crash on Lake Mead Boulevard near Allen Lane.

Police say a witness followed a Chevrolet Tahoe that collided with the moped Batchelor was riding to a nearby discount store parking lot.

The alleged driver, 20-year-old Christian Wilhelm Potter, was arrested after a brief struggle with officers.

Records show Potter is held at the Las Vegas city jail on multiple charges pending an initial appearance in North Las Vegas Justice Court.
